About me
I specialize in doing dimensional lived in color, custom layering/cuts, and extensions.
Doing hair is in my blood. Literally, I grew up in my grandma's salon. I enjoy letting my imagination soar and relish the beauty I can create. I worked at a few salons over the years but I branched out and created my own brand about 5 years ago. I now own a luxury extension company and a luxury bridal company.
After contracting Covid and losing over half of my hair, I researched the safest extension method out there. To that end, I found that the silicone lined beaded method was the best. I'm 4x certified in the Invisible Bead Extension method, The Swan Method®, traditional Bellami sew in and Hello Darling XO invisible butterfly weft method. I'm in training with the Luna method and Ktip with Hair by Ester.
I take pride in refining my craft and learning new things every day. Continuing education and hands on practice helps me maintain quality hair applications and other services.

Selecting the perfect hair extensions begins with a personalized consultation at my semi- private salon. During this consultation, I will assess your hair type, texture, and color. We'll also discuss your style goals and preferences. Based on this information, I'll recommend the most suitable hair extension type, length, and color to achieve the look you desire. I'm here to guide you every step of the way.
Proper maintenance is key to ensuring the longevity and beauty of your hair extensions. Here are some essential tips:
Brush your extensions 2 to 3 times daily to prevent tangling. Use a paddle brush without the little balls on the ends of the bristles. If you are buying hair from me you will get one of these brushes.
Use sulfate-free, extension-friendly shampoos, conditioners, leave-in conditioners on the mids-ends of your hair and oil it regularly.
Extension hair is much more dry than fine thin hair. It needs moisture. So try to use a hydrating mask at least once a week.
Avoid excessive heat when styling, and use heat protectants. I like IGK, good behavior heat protectant/frizz control.
Avoid hot water when washing the hair to maintain it's color longevity and to avoid dryness.
Sleep on your silk pillow case with your hair in a loose braid or ponytail to prevent tangling. Use silk scrunchies not rubber ones.
Visit the salon for periodic maintenance appointments to ensure the extensions stay in optimal condition. If they are not moved up at appropriate spans of time then they can not guarantee the health of your scalp and hair.
To maintain your extensions, detailed aftercare instructions will be discussed before, during and after your appointment. You will also have this page as a guide to help if you have questions.
Yes, you can maintain an active lifestyle with hair extensions. However, it's important to take precautions:
For swimming, add fresh distilled water with a leave in treatment or conditioner, wear a swim cap or braid your hair to minimize exposure to chlorinated or saltwater.
After swimming, rinse your hair thoroughly with clean water and apply leave-in conditioner to prevent drying. You may also use a hair mask each time after you swim to keep them moist and healthy.
When using sunscreen, I recommend SUN BUM with NO AVOBENZONE to keep blonde hair from turning orange or pink.
During intense workouts, tie your hair back to prevent tangling from sweat. Always use a silk or satin puffy scrunchi. Think 80's or 90's scruchies.
Dana is committed to ensuring that you are a great candidate for her extension experience. Every guest's starting and ending point is different and she designs a custom quote to your specific goals. How much hair is needed, hair texture and color depends on where you are and where you would like to be. Please take a few minutes to complete the extension pre-qualification form and she'll be able to provide you with a customized quote. Maintenance for your custom extension application will be assessed at your consultation.
Caring for hair extensions properly is crucial to maintaining their appearance and longevity. Here are some essential products and tips to keep your extensions looking fabulous:
1. Sulfate-free shampoo and Conditioner
Why: Sulfates can strip natural oils and moisture, making extensions dry and prone to tangling.
2. Leave-In Conditioner
Why: Helps to detangle, protect, and keep extensions hydrated.
3. Heat Protectant Spray
Why: Protects extensions from heat damage caused by styling tools.
4. Extension Brush
Why: Minimizes pulling and breakage when detangling extensions.
5. Moisturizing Hair Oil or Serum
Why: It adds shine and reduces frizz without weighing down the extensions.
6. Dry Shampoo
Why: Keeps roots fresh without over-washing extensions.
7. Silk or Satin Pillowcase
Why: Reduces friction that can cause tangling and frizz while you sleep.
Additional Tips:
Avoid over washing: To prevent your extensions from drying out, aim to wash them 2-3 times a week.
Be gentle: When washing and styling, handle your extensions carefully to avoid unnecessary stress and breakage.
Avoid alcohol-based products: These can dry out your extensions, making them more prone to damage.
Using these products and following these tips will help you maintain the beauty and longevity of your hair extensions. Enjoy your fabulous new look!

Hand-tied hair extensions are veils of hair tied to a string by a human instead of a machine. This prevents bulkiness at the scalp to ensure that your hair lays flat against your head with ultimate flexibility. Pieces of hair about 1cm long are at the top that can cause itchiness for those with sensitivities to textures.
Genius hair extensions are pieces of hair bound with polyurethane by a machine. They are just as thin as most hand tied wefts, very flexible because they can be cut and they prevents bulkiness at the scalp to ensure that your hair lays flat against your head with ultimate flexibility.
Volume hair extensions are about 3 rows of wefts sewn together to make a very thick veils of hair. They usually have return hair unless they are volume machine wefts. They are not typically suited for finer hair because of the thick binding at the top. They can be cut but may shed some if the end is not glued.
Keratin hair extensions are hair extensions attached to natural hair using a bonding agent containing keratin protein and a heating tool. Keratin is a natural protein found in human hair and nails. It is known for its strength and durability.
Attaching keratin hair extensions involves applying the keratin bond to the natural hair near the roots. The bond is then heated to a temperature that allows it to melt and bond with the natural hair. This creates a secure and long-lasting attachment.
Keratin hair extensions come in various lengths, colors, and textures, allowing you to achieve your desired look. They can be straight, wavy, or curly, and they blend well with natural hair when applied correctly. The extensions can be styled and treated much like natural hair.
It's important to note that the application and removal of keratin hair extensions should be done by a professional stylist to ensure that the process is done correctly and without causing damage to the natural hair.
Keratin extensions are a one-time use and then removed. You wear them anywhere from 3-4 months, depending on your hair's integrity. Then they are removed, and you can decide to do another set or if you have reached your hair goals.
For clients flying in or traveling to the salon, please specify on the Hair Extension Pre Consultation Form whether you need a phone or virtual consultation. We will work with you once you have your travel details to secure your appointment.
Yes, Dana uses 100% human Remy hair for all installations.
That will depend on the application method and your hair type, but here is a rough guideline below.
Hand-tied, genius and volume wefts sew-ins, also referred to as a beaded row, need to be maintained every 6-10 weeks, depending on your density and hair growth, to protect the integrity of your scalp. The more delicate your hair is, the sooner you will need to come in.
Dana will always recommend coming in closer to the 6-week mark for removal and reapplication.
Keratin/Bonded or fusion are small customized strand-by-strand hair extensions that can be worn for 2-3 months; there is no maintenance. Dana will remove and install a new set every time. This is great for filling in haircuts and thin areas in someone's hair. Dana likes to do these on the sides and crown to fill in where wefts may not reach well without being noticeable.
Dana wants to see hair longer than your chin, for most guests, but it depends on your goals. We can only feasibly double what you have for believable results. Someone with hair 4 or 5 inches can build a long bob and reassess as the natural hair grows. With sew-in and beaded options, your shortest layer must be to your chin/collar bone so that your wefts don’t show.
Dana attaches beads in small and large sections to your biological hair. Then a weft is placed behind the beaded sections and one or multiple wefts are laid on top. Dana then sews the two wefts together and moves the beads up. There is no glue or stickiness of any kind when removed.
Dana is 4 times certified in multiple beaded row methods so she can determine which method of application is best for your hair density and texture.
Absolutely! BUT, keep in mind too much pulling of any kind is never good. Try not to wear your hair exactly the same every day in high tight ponys or buns. That can pull on the very sensitive hair in the front 2-3" of your hairline. Those are precious hairs that we do not want to be rough with.
With Keratin or wefts, it's important to note that if you will be actively working out or swimming, follow the instructions we provide on our aftercare guides. Generally, it's recommended to wear hair in a loose braid or ponytail to prevent any tangling. You will have to rinse your hair with fresh water and avoid having them sit wet all day while swimming.
With working out, we recommend blow-drying the sweat so the band or keratin doesn't become softened over time. It will prevent the hair from feeling dirty or causing irritation to the scalp. Don't worry, aftercare is reviewed at the consultation and again on installation day.
Yes and no, let's be honest here. In most cases, you're likely to double or triple the amount of hair on your head. We can't deny that it would take longer to dry or style. But your extensions will hold your style FOR DAYS. Most of Dana's Extension Clients have reduced the number of times they wash and style their hair per week. Your morning routine will be a breeze when you only have to touch up a few hair pieces.
That looks different for everyone, but generally, you can expect to add one row for fullness, two rows for fullness and a few inches of length, and three rows for anyone with extremely blunt or thick hair looking to add a lot of length.
No! Dana creates a seamless blend between your natural hair and the extension hair (that's why color at most visits is suggested). Dana's been trained to strategically conceal all beads and attachment areas so no one ever knows you are wearing extensions, even when it's pulled up! The beads, thread, small sewing pattern with one string and root of the extensions all play a part in help the hair blend perfectly.
